History of Paulsboro

Paulsboro has a long and interesting history dating back to the 1700's, when settlers came into the Gloucester County area. It was originally called Crown Point, but by 1805, the Paul family owned half the town. In 1904, Paulsboro and Billlingsport were incorporated as the Borough of Paulsboro. Today, the borough is an industrial town that benefits from its vicinity to the Delaware River and Philadelphia.
