Report Findings Featured at January 08' Public Meeting
BP representatives presented findings from their Remedial Investigation Report (RIR) to about 40 Paulsboro residents at the Borough Hall on January 22, 2008. The RIR documents more than 20 years of extensive soil, groundwater, and sediment/surface water investigations - and it provides the foundation for decisions about final cleanup remediaies at the site. BP's Project Manager, Sasa Jazic, along with officials from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) and Mayor John Burzichelli were on hand to answer questions about what the report findings meant for residents of Paulsboro.
BP and the NJDEP are currently planning the next public meeting with the intent to update the public on the progress of the submittal, approval, and implementation of the Remedial Action Workplans (RAW) for completion of cleanup to be conducted onsite.
