Looking Toward the Future
During the process of remediation, BP has been working with the Mayor, the Borough Council, County administrators, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, the Delaware River Planning Commission and former Senator John Corzine's office to facilitate sustainable redevelopment of the property. Efforts such as demolishing the tanks, constructing the largest solar field on the East Coast, and transferring the property itself to the Borough are contributing to the goal of productive re-use of site.
